Another mysterious Ferrari test mule has been spotted at the Italian car manufacturer’s Fiorano test track is likely the upcoming hybrid V6 drivetrain, especially that it had high-voltage stickers across the exterior indicating that it had a hybrid powertrain.

Between a low-displacement V6, the turbos, and a hybrid system, Ferrari has yet to state what sort of displacement the hybrid V6 will have, but it will probably either by a 2.9-liter like the Giulia Quadrifoglio’s engine or a 3.0-liter like Maserati’s new twin-turbo V6, reports Carscoops.

You can notice the side air intakes behind the doors that are larger than what we’re used to seeing on a regular 488 GTB, with a front fascia similar to the F8. This new addition to the Ferrari range will produce roughly 720 horsepower, which is great, but unfortunately it doesn’t sound like a Ferrari. Click here to check the spy video!

Ferrari is one of four engine suppliers in Formula One, which currently mandates the use of turbocharged hybrid V6 powertrains. Today manufacturers have no choice but to introduce higher-tech engines that emit less pollution. Ferrari has already introduced the LaFerrari hybrid and more recently the Plug-in hybrid SF90 Stradale, also we’re expecting an all electric Ferrari SUV in the upcoming years. However, the name of this Ferrari is still the missing piece of the puzzle. Rumors say this isn’t a Dino reincarnation. Feel free to share your opinion on our Patreon or Instagram page!
