“My name is Michael Giller; I live in Germany, and I am 20 years old. I am
studying mechatronics, with the goal of working in the automotive industry one day, preferably in motorsports, of course! I have been passionate about sports cars for a long time. Since I was a kid, the futuristic design, the sheer power, the loud engines, the smell of petrol, and the burned tires have always given me goosebumps. Ferraris, of course, embody the pinnacle of all those attributes.

When I found my passion for photography, I quickly combined those two hobbies. In my opinion, you can hardly find a more spectacular subject for photography than a shiny, modern sports car. For a couple of years now, I have been visiting the Nürburgring regularly, always looking for the best opportunities and new angles to take photos.

During the first lockdown in Germany in March 2020, I decided to share some of these photos on social media. I found the page @specialcars.only on Instagram, where I regularly share some of my shots. Hopefully, dealerships and racetracks can reopen soon, so that I can provide my followers with up-to-date photos again.

During that time, I also built myself a Ferrari showroom - at least in
model car scale. For me, that is a perfect example of what Ferrari is
about: only very few people can afford a Ferrari, but almost everybody who is into cars has an immense aspiration to have one. No other brand can create those emotions and this great desire. No limited car is sold out as quickly as a limited-edition Ferrari. At a track day, the biggest crowds will always gather around a Ferrari. In Formula One, no victory is celebrated as frenetically as a Ferrari win on Italian soil. At an auction, the most expensive cars are usually classic Ferraris.

Maybe on paper, other sports cars can keep up with the power or speed of a Ferrari, but no brand will ever be as close to the heart as Ferrari. Hopefully, I can one day realize my dream of having a photo shoot with a Ferrari or maybe even drive one on my own."
