Novitec put its hands on the iconic Ferrari Monza SP1

When the Italian automaker released the iconic Monza SP1 and SP2 at the 2018 Paris Auto Show, the automotive world was shocked of Ferrari’s ability to combine performance, design, and elegance in a single machine while paying tribute to old icons. However, with fewer than 500 examples, if you want an even more intense experience, Novitec is ready to do so even though these speedsters are powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine producing 809 horsepower, making it the most powerful naturally-aspirated V12 engine in Ferrari's history.

Inspired by classic Ferraris such as the 166 MM, 750 Monza and 860 Monza, most people don’t look at Ferrari’s 809hp Monza SP1 and SP2 and see room for improvement, but that’s not the case for the German Tuner Novitec that gave this street-legal speedster an extra 35 horses and 45 more torques. Not to mention the number of style upgrades to make it somehow even more stunning!

Under the hood is the standard 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine that now produces 844 horsepower (809 horsepower from factory) and 575 lb-ft of torque of torque (530 lb-ft of torque from factory). Thanks to these modifications, the 0-62 mph time is reduced to just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of over 186 mph. The boost in power is mainly due to Novitec’s custom-made exhaust system. The new sport exhaust can be finished in stainless steel or lightweight Inconel with optional 999 fine gold plating (which heats more effectively than bare metal) and 'active' exhaust valves.

Outside, a range of forged Vossen wheels are available in a staggered 21/22" setup. They also offer a set of sports springs to reduce the ride height by 1.3", which also improves the driving dynamics by lowering the centre of gravity.

Those privileged to own one can fully customize and trim the cabin in high-quality leather and Alcantara in any desired color. However, Novitec hasn't released pricing details, but Ferrari's limited-edition speedsters fetch 1.8 million without any modifications.
