New spy photos suggest Ferrari’s upcoming Icona supercar is under development, and may debut later this year. According to speculations and rumors on FerrariChat Forum, the styling of the new Icona could be inspired by the legendary 1967 330 P4 and is expected to use the LaFerrari Aperta’s chassis. Although the test mule is heavily camouflaged, it shares similarities with the 330 P4 like the low nose, a bit taller rear end with an extended wing and the rearview mirrors on the front fenders.

The first car's in the "Icona" line are the Monza SP1 and SP2, extremely limited speedsters drawing inspiration from Ferrari’s most historic cars of the 1950s, but interpreted in a modern way. Their design is inspired particularly by three classic Ferraris: the 250 Testarossa, 166 MM, and 750 Monza. However, the two limited-edition cars are only the first of five Icona models that will be coming in the future under this unique segment.
