Ferrari to unveil 2023 F1 challenger on February 14
In nine days, at 11:25 CET on Tuesday, February 14th in Maranello, Scuderia Ferrari will introduce to the world its new challenger for the 2023 F1 season, which bears the project number 675 but does not yet have an official name. The new single-seater will be driven by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in the Grand Prix races.
The 2023 Ferrari power unit was heard for the first time in the vehicle assembly area in Maranello, in front of the new Team Principal Fred Vasseur, team members, Vice President Piero Ferrari, and CEO Benedetto Vigna.
“The initial fire-up is always a very special moment for a Formula 1 team, the first time that the power unit is brought to life when fitted to the chassis after months of work and development from the respective departments,” Ferrari said.
“The noise from the V6 hybrid made itself heard for just under two minutes, followed by a round of applause from those present. Then, as silence returned, the team got back to work on the car that will be officially launched on Tuesday 14 February in Maranello at 11.25.”
Since we got closer to the launch date, Ferrari recently released a short video on their official website and social media channels with its 2023 engine firing up for the first time.
Scuderia Ferrari will put the finishing touches on its new racecar during winter tests in Bahrain, scheduled for February 23-25, ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix, the first race of the season, which runs from March 3-5.
