A very special addition to Charles Leclerc’s garage

Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc received his Italian GP-winning SF90 from the 2019 season on Friday, a very unique delivery and addition to his garage collection from Ferrari. Leclerc shared a sneak peek on Instagram this morning mentioning that he had just received “something special”, then revealed a few hours later that he has received his race winning Ferrari SF90.

The SF90 was a great challenger for Leclerc and his team in Maranello. He won his first Grand Prix in 2019 at Spa-Francorchamps and also the Italian Grand Prix a week later. However, after a disappointing 2020 season that saw the team finish 6th in the championship, Ferrari is throwing everything they’ve got for the 2021 season, as Carlos Sainz Jr. joined Charles Leclerc. Not to mention that their new challenger had some significant changes like a brand new engine, revised aerodynamics, and changes to the back of the car.

In Bahrain for the opening race of the season, Leclerc said he “cannot be extremely satisfied with P6, but at the end of the day we need to look at where we were last year and it’s clear we have made good progress.” Eventually, this gives us, the Tifosi, an interesting season to look forward to in 2021 in which you can expect Ferrari to return to third place.
